So go ahead and do the normal installation of the driver, this time pretend not knowing that you have already force-installed the 64-bit driver.

After "successful" installation and reboot, you still have to install the driver the normal way, as if nothing had been done previously. Browse your way into the 圆4 folder mentioned above, and select the file named cymfltr.inf which you then accept and install. Then Chose "Browse My Computer." followed by "Let me pick." and then click the "Have Disk" button. Right-click on it and select "Update Driver". Now, launch Device Manager and locate the PS/2 Mouse device.
